Haydite is an aggregate produced by firing shale in a rotary kiln at 2200 Deg. F. When mixed with calcium-aluminate cement, the resulting concrete or mortar provides excellent insulation, corrosion resistance, and high crushing strength. Can withstand service temperatures up to 2000 Deg. F

For 65 years Haydite has found widespread usage throughout the United States and is exported the world over for use in refractory applications.
